Standard Setup
The default setup of SalesIQ involves certain code being inserted into your website pages by us that will as a minimum, track visitors to your website but it is also highly likely that we have set up the online Chat feature as well to enable you to directly communicate with your visitors.
So how should you use the SalesIQ application in your business?
Making Yourself Available for Chat Support
If you are running Chat then you need to be sure that you are logged in to SalesIQ as one of the designated operators in order to answer chat requests and to be shown as being online and available.
Even when you are logged in, you can still make yourself unavailable by changing the setting shown in the top right corner of all pages within SalesIQ.
When a new chat request is instigated you will receive an audible notification and a chat window will be revealed in your SalesIQ session (you will have to open the relevant browser.
Any chat request not answered within 1 min will be closed as a missed chat. You can reopen the chat with this visitor if they are still online.

SalesIQ can be accessed via your web browser as you normally do or your can download SalesIQ as a Desktop App (the link for downloading can be found by clicking on your user avatar in the browser version and following the Mobile and Desktop Apps option)
You can see who are currently visiting your website as well as visitor history from the SalesIQ navigation menu. From the Visitors Online you can if you wish instigate direct communication.
Where the visitors are from Campaigns, it is possible to see their Contact details providing the appropriate settings have been put in place in your campaigns.
Other Features to be Considered
With SalesIQ you have the ability to compile even more information about who is visiting your website and where they are coming from and what you wish to do with this information.
Aspects you may wish to consider would include:
- Tracking visitors from your marketing CAMPAIGNS
- Whether to add visitors to your CRM and as Leads or Contacts
- Adding visitors to your CAMPAIGNS
- How to preset your Canned Responses, Standard Emails and build a collection of Articles to distribute from yru chat session
